Do I have to be a club member to buy at Silverado?
No. Anyone can buy property at Silverado. Club membership is separate: every residential parcel has a potential membership attached to it, and an owner activates it by paying the Club's transfer or initiation fee and applying for membership. You can also join The Club at Silverado without owning property, through Invitational or Junior Executive memberships, subject to availability.

What is the difference between the transfer fee and the initiation fee?
If the seller kept the membership in transferable status, the buyer can preserve it by paying the transfer fee within 30 days of close of escrow. If the 30 days pass, or there was no transferable membership, the owner pays the higher initiation fee to join. The Club's 2026 published schedule listed a $40,000 transfer fee and a $65,000 initiation fee (Resident; $30,000 for Sport & Social). Confirm current fees with the Club before you write an offer, and see our 2026 Club membership guide for the latest dues and fees.

Can I rent out my Silverado condo?
It depends on the complex. Clubhouse (Mansion Cottages), Cottage Drive, Oak Creek East and The Grove units can join Silverado Resort's rental pool. The Fairways rents through its own independent program. Creekside and Silverado Oaks are owner-occupied or long-term rental only. Silverado Resort says nearly 350 owners use its management program, which has run since 1975.
Thinking about renting your condo? If your unit is in one of the eligible complexes, Silverado Resort's own rental management program handles reservations, housekeeping and maintenance for you, right at the resort. How does the Silverado Resort rental program work?
The resort markets and books your unit along with its own rooms and handles housekeeping, maintenance and revenue management. Its fee is deducted from rental revenue. Each participating unit gets a condition rating (VIP, or 1 through 4), and the rating affects how often the unit rents. Owners who stay in their own unit get resort-guest privileges, and the resort lists a 10% owner discount on food, beverage and golf.
